Another question is will F1TV will continue their own coverage (which is pretty good in my opinion, much better than Sky). Or will Apple try to reinvent the wheel with new commentators?

I'm confused.  My F1 subscription runs until Sept next year.   Literally 2 weeks ago they billed me $80.   Will I still be able to view F1 TV next season without purchasing Apple TV?  If not what happens to the balance of my $80 that covered after Dec 2025?

Isn't it great that they use the USGP weekend to announce that they are screwing their US customers?

My question is whether Apple TV will give me the same functionality as F1TV Pro.  Right now I run the main broadcast to the big screen and Max's in-car to the 32" monitor, sometimes the scoring screen to the laptop... or is it time to switch to WEC?

Quick question- for those of you who have been fans forever, when F1 moved from ESPN to SpeedVision- did you have it?  Or did you have to wait until your cable service finally added Speed many years later.  There were many years where I didn't see any F1 coverage at all.... before YT existed to watch highlights.

I didn't see any F1, besides short highlights shows on my local PBS, until it hit speedvision. When it hit speedvision I had it as a channel in a package included if I bundled internet with my local cable company. So didn't pay "extra" for it. I didn't even know it was on ESPN before that.

I have a weird feeling that LeClerc will break from Ferrari and go to RBR next season..........

Ferrari is never going to get another Championship without a major change of the culture. I was watching old Schumacher-Brawn-Todt era races and it seems that they had a drive to win at all costs that isn't present now. They would turn over every stone to find more performance and use every trick or strategy to move up the grid. If you keep doing what you're doing, you will keep getting what you're getting. Leclerc and Hamilton both seem depressed

Also, No Horner. The team may be changing cultures that would finally make it enticing to a LeClerc who's is at a team (Ferrari) that just won't get it together. I had hopes for Vassuer being able to change Ferrari but they seem to be stuck in their own myth instead of doing what it takes to win.

To your point, so many have left RBR that I do have some hope that they will move away from the only 1 driver concept. Also, I heard enough blerbs from F1 insiders slipping in comments in podcasts and race broadcasts that say Jos, Newey, and many in paddock had moral personal problems with Horner himself.

Just a feeling that LeClerc may see it as the only viable way out. The RBR has consistently run up front for several years.

I'm not a Horner fan for sure, but he did steer the ship to 7 team titles in a fairly short timeframe compared to other teams.

I just don't see ford out engineering Merc/Ferrari/honda in the power/reliability department right out of the gate next yr.

Newey isn't the only clever cat in the paddock but he's probably still in the top couple % so there's that.

Yes they need 2 drivers, and I mean 2 new drivers as I don't see Max hanging around the circus he clearly despises for much longer.Writings on the wall with his own endurance race team allready setup.

Given they had comparable success with 2 prior world champions with Alonso and Vettel, Ferrari has some serious issues to deal with.  Alas, over the long term, the success the Schumacher had was more of a oddity than something that was normal.  Ferrari's high number of champions is more about it's time in F1 over it's nominal quality.

That was a rather ugly start to a race.  Thankfully for McLaren, there are not many points lost for their two drivers to Max.  Piastri looks to have turned into Hulk- that that he could have known that Alonso was on the apex forcing Hulk out enough.

Another meh for a sprint race.  Some good attempts for racing in the midfield but not a great way to finish the race.

Chaos at the start was unfortunate for McLaren, Hulk and Alonso. Damn Stroll looked to be trying to kill Ocon....surprise

Tsunoda had a great day!

Nice moves by Lewis and Antonello.

Sainz and Albon both in sprint points. I hope Albon can get back into it like early in the season. Then both of them will start to finish ahead of Ferrari.

The more I watch that incident, the clearer it becomes that the whole Papaya Rules mess completely ruined any real battle between the McLarens.

Team papaya better get their E36 M3 together or they are going to be the new clowns when Max passes both of them for his fifth title.

That qualifying was kind of odd- both Q2 and Q3, some of the cars really struggled at the end of the session.  Especially in Q2 where a number of the cars were slower at the end.

Bearman puts the Haas in Q3 at the home race is pretty awesome.

And as much as Ferrari kind of struggled, they got both cars in the top 5, unlike McLaren- Piastri really has his work cut out for him tomorrow.

At least Ferrari tried something different in that race to add some action.

And point two- apparently Christian was the problem.

Obviously dominant performance from Verstappen; had it not been for the LeClerc Norris battle the race would have been really boring.
