I just watched a smoking tire video about the Alpine A110. Some dude shipped one here and let them drive it. Apparently, there's a way to get a temporary permit to bring a non federalized car to the US for a specified amount of time and drive it on public roads. Didnt know that was a thing. Too bad I'm not a rich dude in Europe with an epic car collection and time to kill! Ok, if I was, probably just stick to the roads over there.

I'll never not be bitter that Ford went to tremendous expense and trouble to engineer a totally distinct, dumpy, dorky Escort instead of just giving us the same (much prettier) car the rest of the world got.
A point for our side: this neat little '54 Chevy. I should have chosen some better camera angles, but was with non-car people and didn't want to geek out any worse than I already was. Love the spiderweb paint on the roof.

As seen from an increasingly scarce silver '04 9-5, another silver, but much rarer, '10 or '11 9-5 - haven't seen one in a couple years.

My parents SC430 in the back with the top down and my brother driving his wife's with the top up. What great cars! I just need to find one for Jen and a garage space to keep it in.

Any A1 Jetta is a rare bird these days. Trying to think when I last saw one, never mind a coupe or GLI, even.
No photo because driving, but the other day I saw a massively flared Scion tC–but just the rears. Looked like 15x7s all around, too.
Must suck when your 918 Spyder is banished to the plebe parking deck because its got the wrong "gekult" (wasser vs luft). From Luftgekult in Durham NC this past weekend. This is well after the show. When I got there, the 918 was parked amongst a bunch of normie stuff.

Thoughts and prayers.
Here's a forbidden in-car shot (stationary at a long red light, lest anyone get their britches in a twist) of the south end of a northbound log truck.

Nothing unusual around here, necessarily, until (assuming you can read it), you read the lettering on the license plate; '52 Pete, '59 Peerless. Seventy-three years old and still out there working for a living.

I hope I still can when I'm that age. And I hope I don't have to.
