Ah, so the Willys is a lot like the "club sport" trim in the lineup. ![]()
Jeep calls its Gladiator the only open-top pickup available, but I’m not sure I see people cross-shopping this against an F-150. If you want a Gladiator, then I think it’s just a matter of which one–and at what cost.
We tested the 2025 Jeep Gladiator Willys 4x4. At a starting MSRP of $45,795, it sits roughly halfway between the entry-level Gladiator Sport 4x4 ($38,695) and the top-of-the-line Mojave X 4x4 ($61,100).
What makes the Willys special? It has many of the off-road extras without the frills. It gets Dana 44 axles front and rear, but they’re paired with the 17x7.5-inch steel wheels. It has anti-roll bar disconnects but manual seats. It has a rear tow hook but not coat hooks.
Our test car then added back a lot of niceties like GPS navigation, heated front seats and a three-piece hardtop. Total price was $58,475.
No matter the final sticker, it drives like a Gladiator. The doors are small. The interior seems a bit cramped. But if you want to do Jeep Things with a pickup bed at a mid-tier price point, then this could be your bogey.
I like some things about the Willys package, uprated shocks and the rear LSD are both really nice off the bat. I almost bought one(sniped!) and I had already added the cost of removing the stupid MTs. For a truck that will mostly be driven on road MTs suck! I'm surprised that Jeep chose to sell them with the noisiest tires possible.
