What is the name of your club, and what type of vehicles does it focus on mostly? Domestics? Exotics? Dailies? Shows? Motorsports? (If so, which ones)
Vehicles of all sorts and types. For example, last weekend one of our members needed help doing the control arm bushings in this BMW 2002 Alpina-tribute so we put together an Oktoberfest-themed event for him at his place. Everyone had some brats and drinks, some of us helped him out, and everyone was happy. Attendance was heavily German-centric considering the theme - B5 Audi, Mercedes 190E, a Harlequin rabbit (ex-SCCA race car), newer-ish Boxster, rallycross-prepped E30. But then we also had a 4th gen Civic sedan, an EP3 Si, an MR2...
C&C events are a little more varied - JDM cars, domestics, some motorcycles... Here are some pics, I was inspired (and directly influenced) by Brad Brownell's Valley Vibes events in putting this together, and it's becoming popular. Seems to be a genuine gap in the community.

Our next event is a C&C at Berens Park in Elmhurst, October 18th at 0900. Last C&C of the season, sadly. Shoot me a PM and I'll share a link to the group, the name of the club is West Suburban Paddock Club. Or just show up for some free donuts and coffee!

Try it out. I think you'll fit right in, variety is the spice of life.

I spy a guy in a TRD t-shirt and a Toyota Tacoma in the background so I think the Dajiban would fit just fine.

Hey! It might have been me driving, I was codriving that car at the last Blackhawk TNiA event. What were you driving?
We are meeting in the West parking lot at Beren's Park. If the weather is nice and there is no one there, then you're in the wrong lot!

I sent you an overlong message and a request to join the group. Feel free to go through my FB and IG feeds to vet me, there's a lot to take in. Let me know what you think.

i'm the novice coach, which group where you in?
In reply to ClearWaterMS :
I was in the novice group in the August 20 Track Night. My friend Duncan (club member, car's owner) was in the Inter group.

i've been the novice coach all year. So we met; I'm the guy who talked way to much during every meeting ;)
did you guys end up having the meet-up? I was on the fence last night with the weather I decided to take my wife up on her offer to join her at the gym. keep this thread / me in mind next season as I would definitely want to drink coffee and eat donuts while chatting about cars. i'll even bring the donuts as penance for not coming today.
Howdy guys! We had the meet on the 25th, I had set up the 26th as a "rain date" and that confused some folks.
We had a great turnout with over 35% of the club's membership in attendance, and everyone had a great time! This is not the sort of vehicular variety you'll see at your typical C&C meet:

Check the club out on Facebook using the link HERE. If you are interested in joining - there are a couple of really easy "vetting" questions to make sure you are a good fit, but otherwise there are no membership costs or requirements save for an underlying expectation to keep active and engaged. We are about to implement a discord chat to facilitate discussions and link sharing, so you'll be able to use that platform too if preferred.
@GPz11, it was great to meet you! ![]()
