You're back!

What I like is he gave them from 9pm until almost 6am the next morning to get back to him. I mean if they aren't willing to work during those hours do they honestly deserve his money?
BoxxBodyCustoms said:Currently I'm waiting to be approved or denied a track date coming up soon. Now I've bene in contact with someone from the track and I'm not sure how much pull he has in order to convince the track members to allow our van on their track. But according to the person I spoke with, he said he can fit me in during a maintenance schedule. There would be a 300.00 fee and I'll need a helmet which I'll be getting in route to this unknown track.
Just in case there are members here who have been approached by someone asking: "Hey I got this fellow who wanted to drive his Transit Connect around our track, So we need to take a vote on if we allow him to do this" Please vote accordingly and allow for my request to fullfill one of my bucket list tracks and just in case someone ask you to vote on allowing a 2020 Transit Connect your track, Thanks in advance. This means alot to me and the wife.
However, because I'm shy I'll prob end up wearing a mask as I do not wish to have my photograph taken.. please honor my wish and you may take as many photos of the van either while on the track or in the pit and maybe you'll be one of the lucky ones who voted to allow us on the track and witness something extraordinary.
Please respect our privacy and if you know what track this is, please keep that information out of the forum till after it happens..
I thought it best to post something now, because time is running out..
I'm not sure I fully understand the ask. Are you asking if someone here happens to be responsible for approving your vehicle for use on this undisclosed track?
To be honest, a Transit Connect is a tall, narrow vehicle. I wouldn't be surprised to encouter some big resistance to allowing it on track. Good luck.
Are you contacting the track directly or the organizer of the track day in question? I would expect you'd have much better luck with the latter, the bigger tracks rent out full days to organizations and don't parcel out short periods of time for individuals. The exception might be a private track like Motorsport Ranch or a club track like High Plains Raceway (see below).
The problem might be the SCCA stability rule. Vehicles have to be wider than they are tall, measured at the edges of the tires. This applies to autocross and Track Night In America. A 2020 TC has an overall width of 72.2" without mirrors and a height of 72". I know this particular vehicle is running non-standard tires and springs, although I'm not sure if it's lowered. I would recommend measuring the sidewall to sidewall width and the overall height of the vehicle and see if the former is greater. If not, you will likely have trouble.
Definitely get the helmet if you're planning on driving any track anywhere. That's a minimum requirement.
We've got a track day coming up on July 12th at Grand Junction Motor Speedway here in Colorado. I'll bet you could run, it's pretty laid back. High Plains Raceway near Denver is also very easy to access with multiple open lapping days per week - but you would probably have to get approval for your TC:
- Pickup trucks or other vehicles with higher GVW’s and/or high center of gravity are not allowed unless the suspension, wheels, tires and brakes have been upgraded to safely withstand the rigors of track use. The approval of such vehicles will be made on a case by case basis.

It just happened again
Only took ~1.5 days!
A lot longer than I expected
Thank you David,, I try to keep things spicy.. Plus seems i should never post the van's track dates on Grassroots Motorsports and just keep these dates to myself. It's a shame cause I thought many of those here would have liked to have seen our van on the track.. some day.

We would but you'll probably just end deleting the post anyways so why bother?
In reply to BoxxBodyCustoms :
I don't think anyone has a problem with your van on GRM. I think the problem is your attitude towards the community.
edit for typo

There totally is. But we make an exception when we think the regulars will get some entertainment out of it.
Oh, hooray, this again!
Honestly, the entertainment value is not worth the exasperation especially when the jamoke in question constantly deletes threads, posts, and accounts.

Nobody was going to see it because we never knew what track it was, only a countdown to a date and a request not to take photos.

Give me three weeks and I'll share with others what the track was or could have been.. why 3 weeks? cause we're still traveling in the direction and no one needs to know where we're going. Once the trip is over, I'll gladly share the ifs, whens and what fors.. I'll even post the official letter the track sent me.. and the reason why they declined my request, which may surprise many of you. Plus it's obvious that the track has members here and I'm surprised they haven't already spoken up about this.. But if grassroots members are rude to me here, then I suspect they would be rude to me in person.. no need for confrontations..

Do I need to post a list of all the forums who have banned me, because all I wanted to do is create a sports car built out of a utility van? case in point while on Reddit, all of my comments are down voted.. My comments here are also down voted.. Conspiracy? maybe. Stalkers.. definitely. One good thing and I just learn is who's behind all this and why they don't want me on these tracks.. I might not be allow on "their" tracks but I have a few aces up my sleeve.
You may or may not hear back from me in a month or two.. I have things and tracks to attend to. The wife keeps telling me to avoid contact with others on the net and I never listen. but I might just have too now. Best I can say, if you see our van, best avoid it.. cause you'll not get a warm welcome from us. Especially those "clubs" that keep banning me from using their tracks or keep banning me from forums, or down voting my post just to have them removed. did you know my account, emails and IP's have bene placed on a spam watch. again this is all in an effort to have me silenced and removed from the net, or at least not allow others to see my build or my van updates. I've had to deal with this since 2015..
You know I had a thought, maybe I should take that track up on their offer to rent the track for the day.. At 3k the tack would be all to myself and to those I feel are worthy of my attention or on my front row.. is anyone here on my front row? maybe and just maybe they will get an invitation from me.
