OST-122, a first generation 4AGE cylinder head, ported for high performance use.

OST-122 began as an uncut head. The plan was to build a head more racing focused, for an engine build using cams of at least 24 more degrees duration, and compression ratio of at least a point and half higher. (for the none 4AG crowd that would be cams of at least 264 degrees, and a CR of at least 10.9:1)
The port work begins with reprofiling the intake short radius - making it a bit shallower(more direct to the valve)

On the exhaust side, the bowls are larger, and the taper is shallower

Chambers were deshrouded....

Then came the valve job.... 3 angles on the seats, and backcut intake valves

Chamber volumes measured....

The surface gets machined .008" to get the chamber volume back down to 36cc. The head is assembled using new Brian Crower valve springs, and viton rubber valve seals.
