Work will have me in Las Vegas in early December. While I'm not actively shopping, if one of the things currently near the top of my "one of these days" list were to pop up, it'd be a great opportunity to do a fly and drive back to the east coast. It would have to be the right set of circumstances for it to work out, but I had so much fun with my recent Miata fly and drive that I don't want to ignore the possibility. Things I'd like are listed in no particular order below. I'd be looking for driver condition, with a high likelihood of making a 2,500+ mile trip home. It'd have to be a good deal, but doesn't have to be a miracle deal (though that would help sway my decision). Preference would be a GRM connected purchase to increase the chances of having an honest interaction.
- C3 or C4 Corvette. OK, they are a little bit in order. The ideal C4 would be '88 - '90 but I'm finding myself less rigid in that requirement lately, recognizing that they get better in later years.
- A good 80s/90s/early 2000s mini truck. This would need to be on the nicer side of good. I miss the utility of the simple mini-truck and wouldn't mind having one around. No solid brand preference but I do have a soft spot for s10s and Toyotas.
- A decent older (70s-ish) pickup. Something that could be a nice "go get ice cream" cruiser but still haul a load of junk to the landfill.
- Beyond that, there aren't any current specific interests. Rad era stuff has my attention lately. Malaise era stuff is a little bit interesting to me too.
