Just watched Jimmy Brodbent's latest video about Assetto Corsa evo and they are going to have pay to play servers.
If f you want a server with 25 slots the yearly fee worked out to be something like 500 pounds. To me this is absolutely nuts!!! The GP Simsports PC that hosts the server cost far less than that. To me this is a complete non starter. I predict that this version of ACC is going to fail. I will not be purchasing it.
According to Jimmy People who pre ordered are now wondering if the game will be finished. There are grumblings that Kunos got in over there head with the massive open world idea. I think that was a dumb idea. But it did get some people excited. However why would I want to drive on the streets? I can do that in real life. If I want to do stupid stuff on the streets there is always GTA. The more I think about this I think they did not think it through.
I predict failure for ACC Evo. I was so hoping it would be a more polished version of the original with some added features or modes.
