We have workaround and the brakes work on that sim now. Is there a setting for showing the tires starting off cold and getting warm? They are always shown as green but they clearly do not have full traction until you get some laps in

Yes, there is a "use tire warmers" button in content manager that will start them at higher temps (defined in data files, not necessarily optimum temps). I forget what it is called in vanilla AC.
man, I wish I could adjust the suspension. I drove the improved Camaro around the Nordschleife, pushing as hard as I could then switched to the Porsche 944 Turbo Cup can and it was night and day. The Camaro is a handful going over curbs and under braking but the Porsche is so stable and goes where you point it with no drama.
I think I'm going to tackle entering the correct suspension geometry for the car, I'll test at my end and keep you updated

Stick and uses a torque arm as opposed to the leaf springs that are probably used on the original car this Mod was based on
My thinking is that the comparison between the 944 and your car may be accurate in that hitting curbs with a stick axle will upset the entire rear of the car versus an irs that if set up properly will not. The model can be altered to make the car do what you want but as a sim you may not want to do that unless you are making the car replicate its handling on a track you have actually driven it on.
make sense?

I don't want a 944 suspension under the car, I want the Camaro to handle better. The suspension I have in the car is significantly improved over the suspension on a 68 Camaro and no amount of damper settings or sway bars is going to make it as good as a modern design. if I could change the settings in mod car suspension to what my car has, it would move it closer to the way the 944 handled. I just took a look at the settings and the measurements don't make sense to me. As an example, the WBCAR_TOP_FRONT=0.32, 0.103, 0.02 is supposed to be the upper control arm front mounting points but those numbers aren't what a typical suspension program uses as X, Y and Z coordinates. Typically, X is distance from centerline, Y is height and Z is depth, or the distance from axle centerline.
I'll probably have a chance to dig into this a little more this weekend.
The coordinates are from the car CG. The way this is all configured in AC files is super berkeleying annoying.
I want to thank you guys for your help with this. I have been using the car to practice autocrossing and it really opened my eyes to how I have to drive to get the lap times. I am so much more competitive this year than I was and it's mostly down to changes in my driving style. Here's a video of my first event this season. First Race Weekend of 2025

Glad to see its been helpful.

Apologies, I have not touched this recently. Its something I'd like to dig into more but I've just had other crap competing for me time.
Again, if you really want it done correctly, I'd reach out to https://btm-simsport.com/

I contacted him and it's damn impressive what he can do but to just get the physics right on the car is $2100 USD. I'm not saying that it doesn't take many hours and it's not worth that but getting the physics exactly right is just a luxury and at the current exchange rate with the Canadian dollar, that's about $3000 for me, which is not pocket change.
