I have been going down the Screamo/hardcore/metalcore rabbit hole for quite a few weeks after I remembered how criminally underrated Bullet for my Valentine is (Don't yuck my yum!), and came across Bring me the Horizon... They've been on non-stop for a couple days now, and I dig it. It's like a melodic, slightly less screamy, electronic Knocked Loose.

Damn. David beat me to it. I do love the sound of it on my metal roof, though.
In reply to Marjorie Suddard :
Yeah. I work downstairs, but the screen room sits right outside my office. Then add the dog sleeping at my feet....

Believe me, I know. :)
So, the full picture. There’s the steady rain upon the porch roof. It’s filtering through the trees, so it’s not a constant drone. Then add in the accents of the water dripping off the front porch.

[edit] If you couldn't make it through all 8 minutes of the last one, listen to this one instead.
I just discovered Curve. I don't know how I managed to miss them back in the day. Their "Doppelgänger" album is outstanding.
Laurie Anderson and Primus. Thank god! There's someone I recognize in this thread!
I really want to keep up with new music, but then find myself going back to the standbys from the 70s through 90s - Depending on mood, anything from Phil Glass to Beastie Boys, to Tom Waits to Portishead, to Crosby, Stills and Nash, Los Lobos, blah, blah blah.
Obscure old artist of the week: Merideth Monk.
so, I've watched some Rob Scallon stuff off/on over the years... but wasn't aware of the "First of October" Band/Project (i.e. Rob and Andrew Huang record a 10-track album from scratch in 12 hours). Got served the Behind-the-Scenes video of it last week, and watched it with Sleepykid#1 while going to bed (ended up keeping him up too late, oops). I've since watched through a few of the previous years' BTS videos now too.
but, i've come back to listening to the "2025 album" again, and figured it might be a good listen to others here (it's a wide range of songs/styles):
