Sure, it’s one of just 207 Yenko Camaros built for 1969. Yes, it’s one of only 10 in Olympic Gold. But there’s only one first, and this example is the one Don Yenko used as his Yenko Camaro prototype.

There are a few more things that make this Yenko Camaro unique, too. Of the 10 in Olympic Gold, just two had white graphics and only one was optioned with Atlas wheels by the dealership. Today, it still retains its original L72 engine, BE rear axle, trim tag, body and interior.

As you can imagine, this Yenko Camaro has been a bit of a media darling. It’s appeared on the cover of “Drag Times” in 1969 and “Muscle Car Review” in 2007. Other magazine appearances include “Super Stock” and “Drag Illustrated” in 1969, “MuscleCar Classics” in 1989 and 1990, and “Super Chevy” in 2006.

Find this 1969 Chevrolet Yenko Camaro Prototype for auction at Mecum.
