Wooooo! I'm excited to check out a new racetrack!

Where and when will the fastest track cars duel in 2026? Texas. Eagle’s Canyon Raceway, to be exact, for the 2026 Tire Rack Ultimate Track Car Challenge on October 22.
The rules are simple. Car and driver must pass safety tech. That’s it. It’s a no holds-barred affair to determine who can set the fastest lap at Eagle’s Canyon Raceway.
And once again, the event will be held in conjunction with the Tire Rack SCCA Time Attack National Championship (October 22-25).

Harris Hill would have been a better choice.

The videos make that look like a very refined track - smooth and wide with lots of turns and runout. Wish I had something worth bringing.

That's what I remember of it when I was there a few years ago. Great facilities, too.
ECR is even better now, facilities and track. Last couple years the ownership has added many garages, clean bathrooms, bar/restaurant, and added to/repaved the track. Truly world class right here in North Texas.

Have they expanded the paddock beyond what's on GoogleMaps? Looks really small to have two major events there concurrently... Any RV facilities?
Dates aren't great for us, but it's finally within striking distance for us Westerners...
ETA: Found this video from last year. Looks like a really nice facitlity! Lots of construction for members' garages, amenities and a skidpad. Not much info about the paddock for visiting racers. We have this problem with two local "country club" tracks... great facilities, but the paddocks aren't really designed for bigger events and end up super crowded.
In reply to Rodan :
I see what you mean, many trailered vehicles would fill a small paddock quickly. Google maps images is definitely out of date, Microsoft Bing maps is more current and you can see additional paved paddock area.![]()
re: Parking, depending on the deal... they do have almost a year to pour more concrete
re: track layour
off hand, it looks like a track that will reward aero, which IMO is a good thing for a TimeAttack/TimeTrial venue. doubt I'll get out there for 2026, but if it stays there a couple years, it provides an interesting challenge of how to drive 1400miles one-way to attend.

The track does look fun. It's a 900 mile run for us, but better than somewhere in the East or Mid-South. Trying to figure out if it's doable for us in 2026... and it's all about the fun factor, 'cause I know I won't be at the pointy end.
