The V6s in my Ridgelines have been flawless (If a bit thirsty). If someone wants to market a transmission adapter to a common RWD manual, I'm all ears.

The goal: Take full advantage of SCCA Time Trials regs that classify Max-class cars based on weight and horsepower. The result: a Scion FR-S powered by a 3.7-liter Honda V6.
As Terry Fair of Vorshlag Motorsports explains, Honda’s J37–found in various Accords, Odysseys and SUVs–is the lightest and most compact modern overhead-cam V6 that he’s ever weighed and measured that makes more than 300 horsepower in stock form. (With the plenum and harness attached, it checks in at 307 pounds.)
He’s detailing the build on the GRM forum–lots of photos, lots of videos–and sounds like we’ll soon see a bolt-on swap kit from Vorshlag.

Is the J37 related to the J35? Because, if so...

Depends on the power level. 250 hp/tq, should be okay. With a six speed, maybe 300. Keep a spare on hand.
There's a reason K Miata has come up with adapters to use BMW transmissions in Miatas behind K series engines.
One of the things I always liked about the LS/T56 swaps is the fact that there are no sketchy parts in the whole drivetrain. Makes it more expensive and difficult but you never have that worry.
I was seriously considering a swapped Honda V6/Miata,but ended up getting a Cayman because it would be a lot more comfortable and refined. Not to mention probably quicker and faster.

Refinement, absolutely. Porsche vs Mazda is no contest.
Faster, yes. Aero drag is a critical for top speed, and a Miata is pretty bad in that regard (really, any convertible is).
Quicker it depends on which Cayman. The base 718 is 300 hp and 3000 lbs, and a 250 hp Miata should have a better power/weight than that.

Vorshlag is literally doing that in their thread.
I know I've seen J to RWD transmission adapters out there.

Well hopefully they can make a casting from that adapter. The billet piece can't be cheap.
