While I personally prefer the exterior styling of the FL5, I think I'd have just as much fun driving the FK8.

Basically same car. If anything the FK8 has a slightly better OEM turbo for track as it makes power later.  The FL5 one runs out of steam sooner.

The interior between the two though, the FL5 is much nicer, and well overall easier on the eyes.

I prefer the FL5's looks vs the FK8 as stock bodied street cars but once the FK8 starts getting track modified and has a few choice aero/body bits the reverse is true for me, the FK8 is the meaner, more aggressive, better looking car vs a FL5 that's modified identically.

I think I'd have to agree with you on that one–race car versions of the FK8 do look pretty mean.
