The Westside boys!
Their cars were always awesome.

The Westside crew, headed by Brian Jules and Matt Step, arrived at the $2006 Challenge sporting a little battle damage. Their turbocharged 1989 Plymouth Colt had been sideswiped by a semi en route to the event. The offender never stopped.
Pre-event testing saw the car dip into the 10s on the quarter-mile strip, but the drags were officially rained out that year. The duo’s autocross performance and solid sob story earned them a 10th-place finish out of 46 entrants. (Postscript: Matt and Brian brought an all-wheel-drive version of this car to our $2010 Challenge, where they posted a 10.82-second E.T. and finished second overall.)

I remember one of the TotD meets my Fiat group had, someone got sideswiped by a semi on the way there. He had a pretty radical build going & we felt bad for him.
One of the attendees worked at a Fiat dealership not far away, and replaced his passenger mirror no charge in the middle of the parking lot.
My dad had an 88 or 89 Mitsubishi Mirage Turbo (same car as this Colt) when I was a kid. Right as I was about to get my license he sold it "because the AC went out and it was too much of a hassle to fix". I was so incredibly pissed, I loved that little car.
I loved their builds. I had a factory 89 dodge colt turbo press car back in the day. Had the vin of 000004. Fun fun car. I would love to build a replica but man cheap 4g63's are not common at all. I have a $100 shell that I could build out if I could just find the right engine and be well under budget.
