I may be streaming too many murder/mystery tv shows from Australia lately, but this needs to be on a red dirt road, middle of nowhere Australia.
And I'll understand if someone from Australia replies, "yeah, no it doesn't."

We have a few questions after finding this BRZ for sale, but perhaps it’s better that they remain unanswered.

Yes, the exterior modifications are a unique choice, but why is it at a Chevy/Buick dealership lot? And why go through the time and effort of modifying the exterior, but then leave the interior virtually stock?

At any rate, the BRZ does have the manual, so it has that going for it. (We'd love to know what's going on under the hood, but, sadly, the seller doesn't include any photos of the engine.)

“The kids love Baja!”
Problems that won't be caught by dealer inspection that would be caught by a GRM'r.
19k for a nearly-10-year-old BRZ that has DEFINITELY been abused and wears seriously questionable modifications seems optimistic. Maybe I'm just out of the loop on values or something, but I wouldn't be interested at half that price.

Some people have this weird idea that they are somehow "rare" or are going to become rare. When you consider the 1st Generation twins sold a combined ~132k units, I don't think that is going to be the case.
The newest edition of "Car and Driver" has an article on converting a 2nd gen BRZ to almost exactly like the one above. Subie gave it to them because it was a trashed "press pool" car. Subie was going to send it to the crusher. Interesting read, but not my style.
Point is: GRM staff needs to tell manufacturers they will accept old press cars as gifts. ![]()
