I am starting a new winter project and I'm taking y'all along on the ride. I bought a 73 coupe that I'm hoping to run the Appalachian Hill Climb Series with next season. This car was autocrossed a bunch in the 70's through the 90's. It came with a stack of old trophies that I'll grab pictures of when I have time. The first thing on the agenda is a complete audit of the butchered wiring harness. I'm also going to tear out all the interior and I'm looking for feedback on what's recommended for heat shielding material. I don't think this thing will ever have carpet again. I've tried the rubber backed foil from Eastwood and it created a mess when it got hot.
A picture from the FB Marketplace listing:

I spent some time this weekend cleaning out the mess of wiring. The under hood harness looks mostly intact, but the dash harness had war crimes committed to it.
Here's just a bit of what they had ran for the single electric fan.

I'm ready for spraying the whole interior with ATAC. I bought a cheap gun from Amazon so fingers crossed it doesn't result in a mess.

Yay! Another Shark. I assume you'll be doing a cage of some sort. What did you have in mind for suspension?

I'm trying to figure out exactly what kind of rollbar/cage I want to do. It's got a 6 point and I'm unsure if the wall thickness meets current SCCA spec so I'll measure that this weekend and go from there. I know at the very least it needs a diagonal bar on the main hoop, but that should be pretty easy to add if the existing bars meet spec.
I have Vansteel offset trailing arms and coilover kit that from another car that I'm going to swap on once it's running and driving again.

A six point is something I was thinking as well after I do the Challenge.
