“The goal wasn’t to simply create a showpiece–it was to see how far the new bZ platform could be pushed in a motorsport setting,” lead builder and Toyota Motorsports Technical Center director of operations Marty Schwerter said.
Ok,so show us.
Go lobby the Optima guys for a Golden Ticket to their Ultimate Street Car event that follows SEMA. Prove that it runs, and runs well. Plenty of reference points at that event.

I agree. I hope Toyota brings it out to the track. It'd be nice to see.

Marty and those guys built all the Toyota Pro Celebrity cars, the Celicas, the Scions. They know how to put cars together. The issue with most of this "show" stuff is that it has a schedule. There are times they let us come out and play, like the Sienna vans in 2016.
Get rid of the race wing and I would drive that to work.

I hear you, but I think I'd definitely something a little wacky–like the wing Hyundai puts on the Kona N Line. It's silly, but I love it.
